Occupational Medicine encompasses a broad range of activities which are both clinical and preventive in their nature and addresses the health needs of both individuals and groups with respect to their working environment. St Michael’s Hospital is the only UofT affiliated hospital with a Division of Occupational Medicine and an occupational medicine clinic. The WSIB Specialty Program in Occupational Disease that started in 2004 is housed in the Division. Division members are involved in the Occupational Medicine training program and in divisional research activities. The following is an introduction to the core members of the Division.

Update from the Division of Rheumatology
Most of you are aware that our small, but feisty 8 member Rheumatology division provides exemplary ambulatory care. We run more than 25 ½ day clinics each week in the Martin Family Arthritis Centre, a multispecialty facility offering care to patients with arthritis and related rheumatologic conditions. Five of our members rotate to provide 24 hour in-patient consultation service to the emergency department and all hospital units. Undergraduate and postgraduate trainees at all levels are incorporated into these clinical endeavors. But do you know about the specialized programs and collaborative efforts we are involved in?
