The Department of Medicine is delighted to welcome Dr. Malika Sharma to the active medical staff at St. Michael’s as of March 1, 2020.  The following article was recently posted on the university’s website.

Dr. James Alexander "Alick" Little passed away peacefully at Lakeland Long Term Care, on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 97 years of age.

Dr. John Winniett Digby died peacefully at Belmont House with his family by his side on January 31, 2020 at 90 years of age.

The University of Toronto is mourning the loss of the 176 passengers and crew, including 57 Canadians, who were killed in the crash of Ukraine International Airlines flight PS752 in Tehran, Iran.

All Department of Medicine members are reminded that the deadline to submit your 2019 continuing professional development (CPD) hours for Maintenance of Certification (MOC) without mandatory documentation is January 31, 2020. You can submit your hours online at MAINPORT on the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada website.  Also, please remember that proof of CME is required for CMaRs – the annual medical staff re-appointment process, which will go live in mid-February 2020.

Annual Medical Staff Reappointments (CMaRS) for 2020/2021 will go live the week of February 18, 2020.
