Rob’s impact on learners is legendary. His commitment to ensuring they had an excellent grounding in the basics while also teaching more nuanced, high-level consultation skills was unique. I am pleased to announce that the SMH DOM Postgraduate Education Awards will be named the Dr. Rob Sargeant Postgraduate Education Awards. As you know, these awards recognize excellence in postgraduate teaching and the recipients are nominated by the core internal medicine residents at SMH. We look forward to celebrating this at the 2022 Annual Higgins Day, and celebrating Rob’s impact on learners annually.
